Octane 4 demo for blender just dont work

I have the same problem as helloidonthaveanyideaformyusername, I get the CUDA999 error while I try to render in Blender (demo). I also tried Octane within Cinema 4d, and then it does work. I have an RTX 2060, with the latest drivers: 425.31, I also tried to download older drivers, but if I search for them, it looks like they are only compatible until 417.71, and I think those are not working with Octane?

I tried to follow the link Paride posted , but I get the message: "You are not authorised to read this forum."

Is this problem solved? I want to buy Octane, but for me it needs to work in Blender.

If you want to try OctaneRender prior than v4.02.1, like v4.00, or 3.08.5, you need to use DDU to completely remove the installed drivers:

Then perform a clean installation of 417.71 drivers:

On the other side, latest drivers are working correctly with v4.02.1 and higher.

I have the same issue with the Plugin for Blender (Demo)
My Version of nvidia driver is: 430.39
And I don't really wanna install an old driver on my system, only for testing a demo, sorry guys.

So it means I can't try the Plugin before I want to buy it?
You must be kidding.
Why can't we get a newer demoversion?

My Standalone 4.04 works with the newest driver.
What about the paid version of the plugin? Which version is it and does it works with the newest driver?

Hi,
unfortunately Nvidia has screwed the drivers from 418.xx, with a partial fix from 419.17 version, but the old versions are no longer supported by new drivers, you need at least v4.02.1, or go back to 417.71 driver version.
Currently the official Blender plugin is v4.02.1, so no issues with new drivers, and hopefully the demo issue will be solved with the next upcoming v4.04 update.
