So many obscure 3d soft supported, and there is no Clarisse in the list. Would be a reason I'd buy new subscription upgrade.

What would you see as the primary benefit of Clarisse with Octane?

Clarisse seems is going to become a primary lookdev soft for movie studios for its ability to handle and keep interactive huge scenes in its viewport ( billions of poly)

Big disadvantage of Octane imo is that you need to wait when you try to re-populate the scene with lots of trees/grass etc. Sometimes pretty long time and Clarisse is only soft where you get very instant visual feedback for a scene with gazillion geometry instances . Better than Itoo Forest Park imo. It even doesn't need proxy objects. It also has IMO most simple and straight forward toolset to populate scenes both procedural and hand painted.

Still the final, production quality render with high sampling and AA settings is pretty slow there especially after being accustomed to Octane speed. Primary benefit would be getting Octane speed for the final render while still be able to see real-time feedback editing huge scenes. They are both PBR path tracers after all. If Octane could make same viewport integration as their native render, would be cool indeed. But even if it couldn't I would still love to export Clarisse scene into Octane stand alone.

Clarisse could export abc with all the instances as boxes. Would be cool if it can write it with all the necessary Octane properties to get the scene already populated in Octan standalone or just orbx file

HI ,
It would be really awesome to have Octane for Clarisse. It will be every matte painters dream come true.

Yeah, indeed. Maybe just a proper Octane alembic or orbx to stand alone export from Clarisse
