Hey all,

I could use some criticism from the wealth of knowledge that exists on this forum.

Here's the latest. I added more spec to the hammer head.

I'm really not much good artistically but I offer my view.
To me the handle looks maybe 10mm too short.
There is a slight lack of shadow around the head that makes it look dimensionally flat.
While the handle has convincing bump perhaps the table doesnt seem to have physical relief only textured.
Nice though. Better than I could do. ;)

as a owner of a small building company i can tell you the handle is to short ,this hammer would kill your hands.
the render , especially the 2 one is very good ,would change the colour slightly for the ground so
the hammer sticks out a bit more .keep going

I am not sure. I have seen this kind of hammer with very short handle used by people to place cobblestones. They are not used to hit hard, but to press down gently the cobblestone on their sand layer.

My critic would rather go on the material of the metal head. Imho, it looks like stone rather than iron.

Oh, it's iron? I thought it WAS stone.

+1
The hammer looks made of stone not iron or steel.
The lack of reflections on it is what make it look stone and look flatter too!

I'm going to re-render with more spec on the head of the hammer. Thanks for your suggestions!
