Hello sir/mam,
I am planning to build a pc for octane rendering, I have planned to add 4 GPU in the machine but since Nvidia killed 4 way-SLI it isn`t possible. Now a friend of mine who uses octane told me; Plugging in 4 GPU in 1 motherboard would also work as octane ignores SLI and takes on the cards in the machine instead. My question to you is -
1. If I add 4 GPU in my motherboard without any SLI would octane be able to take them up and render using it?
2. If I add 4 GPU in my motherboard in which 2 of them are in SLI and the remaining 2 without any sli would it work?
3. If I add 4 GPU in my motherboard in which 2 of them are in SLI and the remaining 2 in separate sli would it work?
4. Its a really dumb question but just making sure - Is octane compatible with Threadripper 2950x ( yes I know octane works on Cuda cores )
Now I am not talking about the demo version here, I`m referring to the paid version of octane which I am planning to get if this system gets approved.
