I've asked this once before but I've got a different scenario and I wouldn't mind getting some clarification.

I'm rendering out a scene that has DOF and Motion blur. I want to export layer masks (2-6) for different objects in the scene for color correction in After Effects.

I'm having problems with color fringing and dark halos when I use the masks in AE. Last time I went through this I think it was determined to use the Object Layer Color in the Infopasses channel because it can be sampled with distributed rays which should give me smoother more accurate mattes.

Only thing is if I use RGBA I only end up with 4 channels when I need 5. Is there a way to get the layer mask to render out correctly? I have Image color profile set to sRGB and tonemap style set to tonemapped as per the previous instructions.

Any clarification would be great. Thanks

I think that cryptomatte is a solution for this case.

Just wondering where crytpomatte even exists within C4D? Is it something that I have to get first? Very limited documentation about it that I can find.
