So can you confirm that the final 2018.1 Studio subscription license standalone doesn't work on your system, although you have a subscription license?
I'm talking about this one: https://render.otoy.com/customerdownloa ... _1_win.exe
Really I don't know what could be the problem with the Studio subscription licenses. I'll talk with the team about it later today.
Thanks,
-Juanjo

I have the houdini plugin subscription license, but not the all-access package. The latest version, both standalone and houdini plugin doesn't see my license and asks for an all-access license it seems. :/
Thanks for looking into it, it's a bit odd, my license is def active etc. account name is "snakeboxmedia" if you need to check on stuff.

Same here. Houdini 17.0 plugin worked.
Houdini 17.5 plugin and also 2018.1 standalone don't.
Thank you for looking into this!

Can you please contact the support team ([email protected]) about all these licensing issues? If Standalone doesn't work, the plugins are not going to work for sure. Please get in touch with our support team because I don't have access to the licensing system.
Thanks,

So it turns out that the houdini studio subscription many of us have, is actually limited to Octane 4. Since it doesn't include the all-access if your subscription is paid month - month instead of annually, which means we don't have access to 2018.1 or the upcoming 2019 builds. I'm assuming we would have to upgrade to a 2018 houdini only license at some point ?
anyway right now, the only option is to get the all-access / 12 month or 24 month license if you want access to octane in 17.5 :L

Alright so I have a new license, with proper access..... I have also contacted the license team but I figured maybe it was easier / faster to ask here.
My problem is that houdini now defaults to my old license, which has been cancelled and therefor has expired! it won't let me login / change my license it just prompts me to activate and keeps telling me my license has expired....
The new license is active, I just tried to install the maya 2019 plugin now that I have all-access to all the other plugins and that seems to run, houdini just won't let go of the old license? I have to tried "unlock" it from my profile but of course it only took houdini to restart before it grabbed the same old license again...
Any ideas anyone?

What plugin build are you using (Enterprise or Studio)? Perhaps the problem is that you don't have the right plugin build for your new license type.snakeboxmedia wrote:Alright so I have a new license, with proper access..... no it's the same license type, still the studio but it also has all access which should give me access to 2018 and 2019 builds when those happen, but I can see when it gives me an error it references the license ID of my old license, which is still active under my profile, but somehow expired instantly when I cancelled it and I can't seem to get houdini to use or look for a different license now that I have 2 under the same login.juanjgon wrote:What plugin build are you using (Enterprise or Studio)?
