Denoised image dark?

Hi all,
When I enable the denoiser and denoise volumes setting in the camera imager, the Denoised Beauty pass is significantly darker than the main pass. Am I missing something?

All render passes are linear but images in Live Viewer are tone-mapped. It depends what are you trying to do but there's buffer types for render passes. You can use "Use denoised beauty pass" option if you just need denoised beauty. It will give you what you expect.

I'm a little fuzzy on the whole tone-mapped thing, so I'll have to do some research on that.
