Done ! And it works ! Thank you so much !!juanjgon wrote:I think that the Octane installer somehow doesn't have the network daemon files, but they are there in the .zip release, can you please check it?Mastoy wrote:Juanjo, could you please just confirm that there's no way to have the render nodes working in this version with a regular license ?
I don't know if I'm missing something obvious

If IPR is started with instancer unchecked LW crashes if that instancer is checked back on during IPR renderering, especially if you changed something with it while it was unchecked.

The core dev team has found that these triangles have degenerate UV coordinates, meaning they occupy a line rather than a triangle in UV space. Currently, every displaced triangle must cover a non-zero area in UV space to render correctly.sauloarruda wrote:Hi Juanjgon, thanks for the update!
That bug of the third UV set stay the same way.

Sorry, are these options available in Octane but not supported by the LW plugin yet? I'm not sure to understand what are you talking about.Carlos3D wrote:Hi juanjo
Will we have the Sharpen and Curves options in the future in Octane?
Thanks,

Not at the same time in the same LightWave, but you could install two LightWaves, each one configured to use its own config files, and install a different plugin version in each one.artecnl wrote:im new to octane and maybe is a dumb question, i can install both , the beta and the last version together in LW2019?

Hey Juanjo-
Can you please explain how to render vdb files as a level set geometry with an octane material? Does this only work in LW2019? Any vdb file we try to render with SDF checked does not render anything at all, no matter what surface we try plugging into the node, with or without a medium node plugged in as well. Is there a special way we need to create our vdb files to have specific SDF information? Please explain this function if you don't mind.
thanks for keeping the updates coming!!

You only need an SDF OpenVDB file and a material linked to the "SDF material" input in the volumetrics node editor, as you can see in the attached image. This is the link to download an SDF OpenVDB test object:rustyippolito wrote:Hey Juanjo-
