This is for v4 in general? Also for standalone?
Could you export the unity scene as an orbx and load it in standalone and see if the error persists?
Hi Chris

Sorry i should explain it better, this is not really Unity only related, happens to me in LW plugin and in standalone. I think it's something in general octane core (i can't make 100% reproducible scene, sometime happens 5 times a day sometime works 5 days no problem) what triers that error (as you can see on forums there is several of users from various apps/dcc plugins have that error so it's not really strictly to unity only.

Sorry one more time for confusion thinking it's unity-Octane only issue.
I understand. I advice you to post the error at the Commercial support forums.

Since it seems to be GPU related, the best option is to post the error in the GPU Support forum

has anyone found out why. I am getting the same cuda errors for no reason. After these errors happen octane would reboot and continue rendering but after 5 times it is done and stops rendering.

For license issues you should go to viewforum.php?f=10

On your GPU error issue. I have already asked you what your errors are, and if you could tell me when they occur, but you have not replied.

Hi,

I have a similar problem. Except that the error on cuda says 999 and not 700. And something with the ORC subscription.. here is the LOG:

OctaneRender Prime 4.00 (4000021)

ORC user subscription status could not be retrieved: The server returned a client-side error with HTTP code: 401

Has there been any further development on this issue? ...

I can use Standalone ok but in Unity I still get the error:

CUDA error 999 on device 0: unknown error
-> failed to link file
device 0: failed to load OSL shader code:
error : Multiple definition of 'cuSptStatistics' in 'cuda_texturenode', first defined in 'snippets_internal'
device 0: failed to compile module 0

It would be good to be able to use Octane again in Unity ...

Hi Scottbroad,

This is an nvidia driver issue. We are working on a build that fixes this, it should be out soon.
