Hi,Juanjo
I always have a litte trouble when I use IPR rendering.
That make the Houdini's operation be in slack and I can not operate node network and viewport comfortably.
I think it would be more beneficial if you could solve it in the future.
and I think the OC plugin for Cinema 4D may have a good operated experience when IPR rendering.
Those is some advices in using experience for OC in Houdini.
I will be more than happy to see improvements in this regard.
Sincerely yours
-Edison
Could improve the operated fluency when rendering in IPR?

Hi,
Are you talking about Houdini viewports slowdowns while the IPR is rendering? We have improved the IPR/viewports response in the latest 4.02 and 2018.1 builds, but of course, more work can be done for sure. In any case usually, the Houdini viewports performance is better while the IPR is rendering if you have the display GPU disabled, or at least configured with low priority in the plugin options panel, GPU settings.
Thanks,
-Juanjo

I'm using 4.02 and configured with low priority in the plugin options panel.But...there is not any change, even in a simple scene. (see the video)
By the way, how to disable the display GPU?
You can't disable the display GPU because it seems that you only have one GPU, but you have the "Priority" flag disabled, so you "Low" priority level is not applied to the GPU. You have the "Priority" checkbox between the enable and tone map checkboxes, in this same GPU settings panel. Remember to close the IPR window and open it again to apply any change to the GPUs configuration.
Thanks,

oh, it looks better than before in viewport, thanks for your guidance!juanjgon wrote:You can't disable the display GPU because it seems that you only have one GPU, but you have the "Priority" flag disabled, so you "Low" priority level is not applied to the GPU.
