Since the topic for 4.02 is locked I guess I will create a new bug report here.
I'm using Octane 4.02. I'm having trouble rendering a large image (6000x7200) with a denoise pass. With smaller resolution the image renders and saves the passes successfully but on this large resolution when the image reaches completion Cinema 4D immediately crashes with no error log. I've made a very simple scene to recreate the issue. Simply rendering to the picture viewer causes C4D to crash when it finishes rendering. Is it a RAM issue? The scene only uses 800MB of VRAM and I have 6GB available. I have 32GB system RAM. Hopefully this is not simple user error.
Edit - Seems like using the denoiser in any way at high resolution will cause C4D to crash. I also tried disabling render passes and instead enabling "Use denoised beauty pass" in the render settings but Cinema still crashes.
C4D crash when saving denoise pass with large resolution

Had the same issue. Could resolve that to a certain amount by increasing system RAM from 32 to 64 GB. But large images with high resolution like A3 with 600 DPI is still not possible. In my case it is not related to denoiser - it crashes even without denoising enabled.

Hey Ron,
We were experiencing the same issue, but managed to get it to work on large files, at least without denoiser - go into your Devices tab in Octane setting and uncheck all of the 'Use for denoising' boxes for each of your GPUs and it should now work.
We are still experiencing the crashes when trying to use denoiser on large size images (over 3000x3000px).
Any updates or tips that could help with that would be great!

Hi,
probably you need 64GB of RAM for that resolution.
Try to reduce it at the half, to see if it works.
If yes, you can use the Camera Tiled rig of c4d Prime, to split the render in 4 or more tiles.
You need to disable Vignetting and Post effect, to avoid seems.
ciao Beppe
