Thanks,

Yesterday I tried to set subdiv to 1 instead of 0, instant crash when rendering.
Yes, sorry, this issue will be fixed in the next build.

Thanks,

Thanks,

The Octane.dll file must be available in the same directory used by the plugin .p file, as you can find them in the release .zip file. Probably something is broken in your installation.

Yeah, it's there. That's why the confusion. I would guess installation issues as well, but wanted to make sure (have erased, re-installed, removed, re-installed) it wasn't something else before I tried again.

thanks!

bruce

EDIT: For some odd reason, I had a .p file from octane v2? in the plugins directory. It was looking for a VERY old octane.dll. Sorry for the disruption. Thanks for the help!

Same issue here...

On the other hand, Octane 3.07 works well with the latest drivers.

Yeah, Jules is working with NVIDIA to fix the update and will post as soon as available! Follow the FB Octane Render group for immediate updates, they have a pinned post where they will make the announcement.

Two things that would be great for us to have in future versions of Octane are:

1. Independent shader ball: So we work the materials without always using the IPR.

2. OpenGL in Octane, if we had Octane working with OpenGL so we could see the materials and textures outside the IPR.

I think this would help a lot in our workflow.
