Hey guys,
I just received a new rig with 4 2080ti's and I'm getting constant CUDA 700 errors (also happening in redshift) so I'm thinking probably driver related.

Curious if anyone else is having these issues, or if there is a fix. Octane bench also crashes almost immediately.

-No Overclocking on the GPU
- Using Octane / C4D combo with latest v4 standalone / plugin
-Nvidia driver 417.01 A

I tried a clean install of the driver, still crashing...

Any ideas? Appreciate any help.. Thanks!

System specs:
Threadripper 2990wx
4x 2080ti
Crucial 128GB DDR4-2666
Gigabyte X399 AORUS Xtreme

I have 2 of those 2080Ti with 416.xx drivers and no errors so maybe try to go with older with drivers.

So I went back and tried a few different 4XX.XX drivers and I'm now thinking it's not driver related.

I'm actually able now to run Octane just fine if I disable card 3, so I'm working with the builder now to see if maybe it's just a hardware issue. They were able to benchmark Octane and Redshift with no issues before it shipped so I guess possible something got messed up in shipping...

We'll see!

HOW did they benchmark octane when OctaneBench 3.06 don't support RTX GPUs at all, they can't be turned on in OctaneBench 3.06 (latest released one) ?

Hi,

I have a very similar issue 4x rtx2080ti cards and the system locks up or BSOD when rendering in octane or redshift. After trying all sorts of things I have worked out if the card in slot 3 is disabled everything works fine. Did you manage to get all 4 working? or does anyone else have the same issue?

many thanks

I did get cuda 700 error with illegal memory with one of my rtx 2070. It turn out that rtx 2070 was starting to fail and had to return it for a new one.

try bumpinh up CPU load with constant speed, max out power limit for GPUs (so voltage limit would not be so intrusive), lock fans to 100% to avoid thermal limit kickin' in.

the error itself as pointed is memory related, so if can keep that stable, and not OCed over stock settings, that might help.

testing new PLX equipped (z390ws) quad GPU system (with 2080ti and 1080tis) - runs perfect for days, but once speed is bumped a bit I wake up with cuda 700.

AS for AMD system in general - seems there are issues on it's own..- for that get at least single bsod a day, but that's another topic..

by the way, if that helps, I'm on 417.71. WIll be testing latest OctaneRender builds today as well to see if this combination would give any stability issues.
