Function to run multiple versions of plugins

It's a massive chore to uninstall a stable release in order to test release candidates. Is there a possible way to have a version switcher inside the live viewer window that would allow us to choose to relaunch C4D with a different version of the plugin?

This way users can quickly switch between being testers and users which I think would catch more bugs!
