If you turn on denoiser and render out a frame using Cinema 4D's picture viewer, Cinema 4D will just randomly crash towards the end of the render when it's about to apply the denoiser. It doesn't just crash, it closes CInema 4D completely without any error messages.
Of course if you create a new simple scene, it works fine. But as I am opening up older projects (not that much older) the problems are coming from there. Even if I copy paste everything into a fresh new scene and turn on denoiser, Cinema 4D will close.
The denoiser works fine using the Octane Live Viewer, but not anything else.

Okay, so here is what I did. I created a new scene file, test render with a basic cube, works fine.
Copy paste all my objects over to the new scene - stops working. Closes Cinema.
I delete every single original object and material down to bare bones nothing - still not working. Closes cinema 4d.
I'm going to attach the stripped down scene file where there's just a camera and a cube for everyone to dissect.

Cinema 4D R19 (latest build RB245443)
Octane 4 (latest build 4.01.1)
OS - Windows 7
GPU - 4x GTX 1080 (latest drivers)
CPU - Intel Core i7-8700k
RAM - 32 GB Ripjaws
I also just downloaded the scene and tried it on a different machine. Same thing happened (Same specs for the most part)

Problem is not occuring on my system. I'm on win7. What's your license type? I can give you a debug build to collect more data for issues

Unfortunately that's not an option right now as there are multiple projects that are going. I'm just going to have to disable the denoiser for now.

I narrowed down the issue for you, so we are doing large 4096 x 4096 renders for VR.
It seems that denoiser is crashing when the pixel dimensions are too large.
I set it to 4096x4096 = Crash
Then I set it to something smaller 1080x1080 = No crash
Has something to do with that.
I am going to update Windows and see if that does anything, as I was quite far behind in Windows Updates.

You maybe near to VRAM full before denoiser. Please send log outputs from rendering session.

I don't think so, I was monitoring my Vram and it was going about midway on one card (Keep in mind it's just a cube scene that is also crashing so it shouldn't take up that many resources)
How do I get the log outputs from the rendering session?

So the error messages I have been getting out of Deadline are memory related. So it does appear to be a memory issue - but the scenes are so simple that it's difficult for me to see why Cinema would shut down when the denoiser kicks in.
Does the denoiser create a large VRAM spike when it kicks in? I wouldn't know.
