Hi,

I ran into this problem a couple of times over the last years, so maybe someone could point me in the right direction how to fix this.

When rendering emissive/opacity materials I don't get the same result when using the alpha channel. Its always way to transparent and I only get the almost same result by duplicating the image in AE several times. I attached an example, first with alpha and second with no alpha and a black enviroment. Why don't i get the same result in AE when placing the one with the alpha over a black solid?

In this case its a particle scene where I need to place the particles on a flexible background. Additionally I have several particle layers I need to render out seperatley...

Is there a solution to this problem? May it be a gamma/linear workflow problem?

Thanks in advance. :)

you may test output png with straight alpha or pre-multiply alpha, and in aftereffect interpolate footage in correct way..?

It does affect the whole alpha but not that dramaticly. I kinda tried all variations inside the rendersettings but no luck... starting to believe its not possible. :/
