Hi. You can render out the various Normals passes and the wireframe which should give a clue as the to issue. If not, pls send me a blank scene containing the piano.
Thanks
Paul

Dear Paul,
Attached please find, is the scene. I have deleted almost everything exept the curved mass. seems there is something strange in the scene.because If I put the curved thing int to a new revit file, it will be fine...
Please take a look! Thanks a lot

I had a look at the scene - and you are right, there is definitely something wrong with the geometry. The UV Coordinates pass looks wrong, and the Smoothing Normals indicate that maybe the vertices are not shared between the polygon (but that is a guess). If you need to know the exact problem, I suggest exporting the scene you sent me to ORBX and posting it in the Octane Standalone 4.00 release thread where an OTOY dev can take a closer look.
Thanks
Paul

If it is a geometry issue,I think I find a solution, probably the problem comes from revit itself.
as mentioned the family component is fine (because it apears right when loading into a new scene), seems the problem comes from this scene only.
I saved the piano's family, then delete its deifination in the problemabic scene, then reload the family into it. It is fine now.
Thank you, Paul,
It is resolved
