Hi!
I think I've looked through all the relevant settings and documentation, but I still can't figure this out.
I want the denoised pass to use the imager settings from the camera. (highlight reduction, LUT, exposure, etc)
Is this possible?
The new denoiser is amazing, as is V4. But if i can't apply the imager settings to the denoised pass, the denoiser is completely unuseable for me.
(yes, i've applied the imager settings in the octane settings AND in the camera tag.)
Thanks in advance!
Denoised pass not using imager settings

If you use camera imager then you should use denoising from this imager. We wrote details in help manual, did you checked?

I've read through it, but can't find anything that provides a solution. Sorry if i'm missing something obvious.aoktar wrote:If you use camera imager then you should use denoising from this imager. We wrote details in help manual, did you checked?
I can provide a scene file in a short while, until then:
Camera tag has denoiser and highlight reduction activated.
I'm using denoised beauty in multipass options.
The highlight reduction is activated in the octane settings as well.
Just found out that Live viewer denoiser pass uses imager settings, but picture viewer doesn't!
It uses but please give example for your problem.

Here's a link to the scene file example. (very small filesize)

Here's a screenshot illustrating the issue.
Liveviewer properly compresses the highlights on the denoised pass, but the picture viewer render doesn't!
Thanks for taking your time, by the way.
Update:
The render settings had been corrupted while updating C4D + Octane, and multipass settings had been reset to default.
The problem wasn't the imager, the problem was that the multipass were saved as linear instead of tonemapped.
Sorry Aoktar, and thank you from our studio for another great release!

I have to repeat myself again. We wrote those in the latest manual. You can see the manual from help icons and help menus from the plugin.
