HI guys,
Unless you have a subscription license, you will have to upgrade your version 3 licenses to version 4. This upgrade is free and can be done via these 4 steps:
Go to https://home.otoy.com/render/octane-render/purchase/
Select "Upgrade" in the top menu.
Click on "UPGRADE NOW" next to "Upgrade existing licenses to OctaneRender 4".
Select the licenses you want to upgrade and confirm.

i had to download from a different pge. is from your account and from that download button
that desire of otoy in making things compilacted...
and for some reason this says is stable but in the naming it is RC7 so it not fully funcional against the licensed version?
is there any document stating differences for the people that haven´t used "4" not once? i see some differences (ai light in the kernels) but i havent found any document stating the use etc. same for all the new or different features?

Dear octane team ,
I am upgrading from OC for revit to an all access license,
when I am trying to run OC 4 for 3dsmax, it says I " have 1 available Creator subscription which is only compatable with the creator release."
I have tried both subscription version and the license version for the plugin,
Seems neither of them work, Please let me know what to do?
Many thanks,
Jim

Hi guys,
apologise for the absence we have a lot of work to do around Octane V4 license.
Like it says all Access plugins are available early 2019:
Octane All-Access provides ‘all you can eat’ access to the industry’s largest ecosystem of integrated DCC plugins collected in OctaneRender Studio
(starting in Q1 2019) - including Maya, Cinema 4D, AutoCad, Revit, Houdini, Blender, LightWave 3D, Sketchup, 3DS Max, Adobe After Effects, Nuke, and
Unity - as well as the ORC cloud rendering service.

Hi Paride,
Will the cloud rendering be available in the 3ds max network tab? Can we just order as many GPU slaves as wee need?
Thanks
Cloud rendering through ORC is different than local rendering. You can assign a job to the cloud, and it will throw as many GPUs as needed to get it done within a business day (up to thousands of GPUs per job are possible). You should check out the ORC videos on our YouTube channel to see how this works.coilbook wrote:paride4331 wrote:Hi guys,

well this is sad. Otoy did tell me 2 years ago they would add cloud slaves directly into the 3ds max. How can I even send my job to you if my scene is 2.5 gb plus 5 gb in textures on multiple drives and folders plus it relies on plugins like itoo forest, city traffic, mad car where you have to have them installed in order for animation to even work plus hundreds of gigs of phoenix fd smoke and liquids sim files. Will cloud slaves built into 3ds max be ever available?
Thanks
Hey.
I know this post is old, but it's today that my Windows updated and I guess my nVidia driver also did (without asking for permission).
I'm unable to install the 417 driver for my Octane 3.08 to work.
So I found this post.
Thing is - I can't upgrade my licenses as at the end of the process the otoy website redirects me to PayPal (to pay 0$ ??) and PayPal displays an error saying 'smth went wrong, please try again later'. I tried multiple times.
Should I just contact otoy or am I doing something wrong?
