Excellent. Will any invites to the public beta be available to current Octane license holders in the general public (I'd like one!)?Goldorak wrote:https://home.otoy.com/unreal-engine-announcement-siggraph/

6 Plugins...?!Goldorak wrote:Absolutely not discarded, it's in fact one of the 6 plug-ins we are still working on releasing on top of the ones currently available on the store now. We wouldn't be doing all this work and selling it to users if it weren't going to be the best plug-in we could make around Octane.
Ok...Let me take a stab at this then:
(1) Unreal Engine
(2) iClone
(3) CryEngine
(4) ZBrush
(5) Marmoset
(6) Substance Designer
That's all I can think of....
FL Studio?
Win 10 Pro 64, Xeon E5-2687W v2 (8x 3.40GHz), G.Skill 64 GB DDR3-2400, ASRock X79 Extreme 11
Mobo: 1 Titan RTX, 1 Titan Xp
External: 6 Titan X Pascal, 2 GTX Titan X
Plugs: Enterprise

It's still closed testing for now. We want to make sure we get V4 launched first and move to Octane 2018|2019 asap before we widen the testing pool.pxlntwrk wrote:Hey,

I'm torn on this. The Unity plugin still has a really long way to go, and now Unreal has Vray already... but Vray for Unreal is actually worse than Octane for Unity, and is quite expensive. The advantage that Vray has is that it is actually properly integrated into the lightmap system, whereas Octane for Unity is not at all. But Vray for Unreal doesn't even render deforming meshes.
So because Octane for Unity is free, I have to declare Otoy the winner for now.
But I am still completely baffled by choices Otoy have made with the Unity integration. The way they handled materials and baking is just horrible.
