I suddenly lost about 66% of my VRAM on 1 of my cards. I would never had known this without GPU-Z.
I have a GTX 980Ti 6GB as a display card and a GTX 780 6GB as my second card. This setup has been running fine until one day it suddenly failed. If I took the GTX 780 out it would run fine again so I thought it was the card. But changing it to a working one just gave the same result and fail. The strange thing is that it would run fine with 2 cards as long as I didn't load more than 2GB of VRAM. Anything over that and it would fail. Can this be a motherboard failure?
The weird thing is that GPU-Z shows that the memory is full at 2GB - even though it is a 6GB card and Octane reports 6GB and shows it is only using about 33% of the memory. Anyone knows or have a guess about what is going on?
In the image I load a 4.2GB scene which loads in the GTX980 but fails on the GTX780 as you can see in GPU-Z the memory is full - result Octane fails.
