Attributes

Hi there, since the core of houdini it'a all about attributes, why there is no implementation about this? It's been said that you guys are on it, but no news at all and such poor updates for the houdini plug in is making me to avoid it at all!!!

Hi,

Unfortunately, the Octane core doesn't support attributes yet, but the good news is that this is a planned feature for Octane 4. Once available in the core, I'll add all the attributes related stuff to the plugin ASAP.

Meanwhile, the plugin has some workarounds to support at least the color attributes for the particles, hair and instances, something that can help in a lot of projects.

I hope to have good news about this feature really soon!

Is this working now, with the latest version? I noticed, there's a parameter node but I can't get it working.

Not yet, sorry, but as I've said this is a planned feature for this dev. cycle. The parameter node is there to allow the parameters promotion feature, but it can't work alone to retrieve attributes.
