I am very keen to try out the 2.5 integration! The OBJ export works alright but certainly not ideal and I would have to agree that going back to 2.49 feels like entering the stone age again....

Cheers and keep up the good work!

Hi Enrico, when can we expect a Blender 2.54 exporter for Octane?
Best Regards.

2.54 has wavefront obj exporting issue too...
Hope to see the 2.5X plugin soon, since 2.49 or exporting obj from 2.53 is the only option atm.

Well, much harder then expected, quite all the APIs have change since 2.49, many changes compared to the 2.53 release and some behaviours have been changed too. I finally got something working and you may expect an alpha release probably next week. Don't expect too much, not all the functions will be implemented in this first try but you should be able to render stills and maybe animations too ;)

Very excited to try it out, like the others going back to 2.49 is a bit painful. :) Thanks,

I can't wait to try it out. I've just been working with the normal 2.54 OBJ export (after applying the fix as suggested elsewhere in the forums).
