Hey there,

I am rendering a scene and it crashes c4d after 80 frames. I started it again and it went another 80 frames more and crashed again, c4d quits completely.
I removed some more things from my scene and now it crashed but c4d stayed open. I could capture this cuz the octane log froze c4d.
Any idea?

windows 10 with the latest octane 4 build, also it has crashed the same way under older octane builds.

Hi Beppe,

No not yet, I downloaded the previous version last wednesday.
I will download the new on now, but I have a question..perhaps you know! I have a 1080 ti with 11 gb memory and the pc has 16gb memory. I am not a tec man myself so could the 16Gb memory cause some crashes?
I had to take some out to make room for the 1080ti.
Could that be an issue? I have some room left for the rest of the memory if I get rid of the other older second gpu residing in the pc.

btw this scene has crashed on different versions of octane, these are scenes of a free work 3d short animation so I have had many issues with rendering and this is just one more.

Hi,
difficult to say, do you mind to share the complete scene with assets?
You can send me a PM with a link to dropbox or google drive.
ciao Beppe

No, that is ok, I will send you a scene tonight. It happened after about 20 frames, I have that issue a lot lately.

Cheers,

Nick
