Hello
When I just place a plane and a spot light it can be rendered with the blender render...
As soon I switch to octane render the output is dark...
Also other lights are not visible except the daylight.
orbs export also doesn't do anything..or is this disabled in the demo mode?
[Solved] No light in blender except daylight?

Hi,
sorry not a Blender user, but in general, OctaneRender works with mesh emitters.
For example, in c4doctane, only area lights and parallel sun lights are supported.
You can use a plane with Diffuse material, Emission node and IES light for mimic spotlights.
ciao Beppe

Hmm...I thought it was easier (o;
Tried with a plane with emission...it shows in the preview nicely but shows flat material in the render output...

Hi,
in this case you should need to use the same texture also in the diffuse channel, I guess.
The normal direction is also very important, if your mesh is flipped, you can enable the Double side option in the Emisdion node.
