I just lately stumbled upon this software as someone mentioned it on the blenderartists forum...
I highly assume that Octane would highly benefit of the new raytrace cores inside RTX2080 cards?
Dunno the technical insides...but would they enable better bidirectional raytracing?
So far I am stuck with LuxCore renderer as this is to my knowledge the only product which supports this...
well of course not via GPU...

That's really impressive
Hope Nvidia keeps their promise doing drivers for macOS Mojave
Will receive a GTX1080 Ti tomorrow for my Mac as I am curious how the difference is compared to a GTX1060....
well...will also use it for Davinci Resolve Studio as my work involves simulating user interface designs which involves a mix of camera shots and 3d renderings
PS: Need to subscribe on facebook

Hi,
unfortunately not, OctaneBench has not been updated yet, to support Volta and Touring results.
Only unofficial results at the moment.
ciao Beppe

Would a system benefit from two RTX cards by doubling the RT cores count in the same as it does currently double the CUDA core count on GTX?

The prototypes we are currently working on already support leveraging multiple GPUs making use of all available RT cores so yes, this will be supported once it is released.coilbook wrote:Otoy please tell us if you will use rt cores of all cards or just one?
