Hey,

i have found a nother problem in Octane DAZ plugin.

I have been rendered withing a scene a few cam angles (6 to be exact)

Next day i wanted to load daz file 6 with the last cam angle and all materials were grey... Still linked like they should be but showing grey in viewport. Well, i tryed a few things to bring them back but had no luck doing so.

Since i didnt want to redo the whole scene i tryed to load the other duf saves. 6,5,4,3 showed the same problem, but 2 and 1 are showing all materials like they should.

So ... whats this problem about? Did anybody encounter it before?

P.S besides setting new cams i didnt change anything from safe to save.

Sadly, this didnt solve the problem at all.

A few textures and materials load. Everything is still linked like it should be but most materials simply dont show up.

In addition the scene is loading for a extreme long time.

Log is showing something very strange ... at least thats strange for my eyes.

Obiviosuly its trying to load data from an export file i made, before i had saved the scene. Why is this the case? While is the .DUF linked at all to a exported file?

Sorry - I am not sure what is going on here. But it does indeed appear that C:\Users\TeddyBear\Desktop\RENDER OCTANE\TODO\A19-003-1.orbx is missing.

It isnt missing... but why does the plugin (or Octane itself) try to search for textures in a before exported file? The idea alone is totaly wrong ...
I had this happening in a few scenes now. Only chance to get rid of it was to load an older state.

I am guessing on this, but I would say this happens when you import a material from an ORBX. Sorry I cannot provide a more definitive answer.

Now i know where the problem comes from.

I dont know why this happens, but when i save a scene in DAZ, export it to orbx and save the scene right away while overwrighting the old one, it happens sometimes Octane wants to link materials to the ORBX file. I have no clue why it makes that ...

However ... its easy to avoid this
