Hi Paul,
Longtime Octane and Rhino user. Just updated to Octane 3.08 and Rhino octane latest stable versions 3.08.0.91 for Rhino 5 & 6.
Rhino 6 version 7 and Rhino 5 version sr14 (both 64 bit)
See error jpeg attachment that I receive only in Rhino 6.
I can no longer view my material assignments on the object in the Rhino viewport (shaded/rendered material options are set in Rhino).
Windows 10 64 bit, Nividia GTX 980 Ti updated to latest driver version 398.96
Please help--I can't work when since I can't view my materials.
(There is also no option to "re-link materials" as in the past.)
Everything worked fine before I updated.
Many thanks,
Nathan

Hi Nathan
Does this happen on new scenes, or just older scenes loaded from .3dm files? If that latter, can you pls send me a .3dm file which produces this error.
Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,
I had to revert back to the old plugin 3.6.4.83
When I reverted back to the old plugin all textures reappeared in both Rhino 5 and Rhino 6 standard viewports.
Additionally, the files would render in Octane with textures with the newest plugin, but the scene appeared overexposed.
Also, in both Rhino 5 and 6 the texture previews in the material tab were totally "messed up".
Even after reverting back to the old plugin noted above, I must set the material preview size to "medium" under the material tab (I never had any issue before the update), so that the previews appear correctly.
I will pm you an older file. I did not try a new scene, since I had to get everything working again rather quickly.
Many thanks as always!
Nathan

Zip the .3dm file and texture files pls.The 3dm file extension is not allowed when I attempted to pm you with an attached Rhino file.

Hi Paul,
I've been using Rhino 5 with Octane/Rhino plugin due to my issues with this, but have worked a little bit more with Rhino 6 and the latest stable Octane 3 for Rhino plugin release on this and sent you a pm regarding my issue.
Many thanks,
Nathan
