Do you know if the new fixed standalone is working fine on your system? I can send you the patched Octane libs by skype to see if they help with the plugin.

Yeah, sorry. Let me think about it. At some point, a proper fully feature gradient node is going to be needed, but the problem is that unfortunately, the LW SDK doesn't have one, like all the other 3D packages

- Are there any options for the denoiser feature? The only place I seem to come across that is for the Octane options on either of my GPU's.
- Where is the universal material node hidden?
Thanks in advance! Also, is anybody being a rebel and using these release candidates full time?
All the denoiser options are available in the Camera Imager node. About the new material, it should be available with all the other Octane material nodes, but you must reinstall the Octane plugin after removing the Octane master plugin.

Yup. That's what I forgot to do. Thanks Juanjo.
I am hoping the Documentation will receive some love to accommodate all I'll have to learn about the new features?

The updated docs with at least all the Octane 3.08 features should be ready in a couple of weeks, to later add all the new 4.0 stuff. I'm working on it as fast as I can
For Mac, I can say I had several crashs, with more complex scenes I had Cuda Error 700, and rerolled to latest cuda driver and NVIDIA 387. ....05 for High Sierra 10.13.6,
I was able to reorganise materials, but no Movement in Layout, baking worked, not in the version before. But even with a 18k poly object and several Textures, also 8k Displacement
just killed my display. I mean all kind of textures and polycount failed to get workable for animation in layout. Still images worked until a few loading steps.
It worked well until the last nvidia update, hope they fixed that, did alot of tests past week and no config with success, definately one card for mac, is too much. Also need to cleaninstall Sierra on a SSD, put GPU in the middle, and using macs fancontrol to handle the heat. And open of course.
Got some nice progress, also working with the LW surfaces, one click to octane, but several GPUs needed I think, but the Standalone works well so far.
Edit: I installed the Standalone again, working again moving objects in layout, no crash since cuda update. Nice.
I am very glad to confirm that everything works with the Nvidia driver version 411.93. It took a long time to reconfigure the overclocking parameters of the video cards, but in the end all three of my video cards of different versions work together on a new driver.
