Is there any chance we can expect to get any more blending modes any time in the near future? In any other engine I use the Overlay blending mode more than anything else. Having multiply is great for adding to shadows and you can always invert it but as far as I know Multiply is just the opposite of screen whereas Overlay is the combination of the Multiply and Screen blending modes.
Admittedly I don't understand the math so I could be wrong about how it works technically but what I do know is that creatively, Overlay works great for me when stacking textures to create more detailed materials.
I'd also absolutely love to one day get a proper layering node. As in the ability to mix several textures (at least 3 or 4) into one node, with each layer having blending modes and alpha sliders (and being able to plug in a texture to the actual alpha slider would also be a massive plus. This is particularly great for creating stacked displacement or bump maps by mixing shaders without having to keep mixing 2 nodes into another 2 nodes and so on, as when you start getting deep you it's easy to lose track of what does what.
