Had a nice talk with OTOY's demo artist on the Siggraph floor - lots of Octane 4 stuff to show.

Right - the demo artist mentioned that. Had a nice conversation with Billy (?) the demo artist after turning the camera off, wished we had it on the video. He's an old LW guy (like me, a lot of us in the industry started on LW or MAX). He did the R2D2 shot in Ep3 with the rockets coming out of R2's legs and him flying. I bumped into a lot of old LW people at the show - including the Clarisse guys. I even bumped into Allen Hastings whom I hadn't seen for a couple years (wearing his 32 Siggraphs in a row badge).
