No sorry, this video is a totally different thing and is way out of the scope of an environment node. You should be able to render something like that in the video by creating actual star objects (spheres) and use volumetric objects for the nebulae. Of course, how to get to the actual data (sets) is the tricky bit, but I fear we don't have the resources to help you with that. At least not currently.coilbook wrote:wallace wrote:Here is a simple scene setup with the planetary environment.coilbook wrote:Hi do you have any examples of this or how to do galaxies, stars etc?

By the way, this octane 5 looks amazing https://youtu.be/6ChweQETKTE
Please note that the images are scaled down to avoid a huge file size.
Thanks it looks nice but will we see one for space animations. Like star fields, galaxies and they dont look pixelated? I really thought we would be able to do this like in this video https://youtu.be/jhc8AdI0MWg?t=3m27s

Thank you! As long as octane can have space environment like 360 star texture the rest we will add ourselves.

This problem was with 398.36 drivers, now I have reverted back to 23.21.13.8871 drivers and the problem is gone. I will try to PM you with the test scene.
abstrax wrote:Which driver version are you using? I have seen similar issues with driver 397 or higher and had to revert to 391.35 to make it work. If you don't think it's the driver, could you send me a simple scene or instructions to reproduce the problem? Thank you.BorisGoreta wrote:I can't mix 980 Ti with 1080, they can't work together but separately they work just fine.

4.00 RC1 quits instantly on Mac OSX 10.13.6 (newest version). I'm using 2 1080Ti's on a Mac Pro tower. 3.08 works perfectly. I've been using Octane for a couple years. I've never had this happen before. Every time I launch the program it quits. Not sure why at all. When I installed the plugin for C4D it quits C4D instantly as well.
I know it's still early, but I was curious if anyone else is having this happen.

Hi danchosich,
there is an issue in 4RC1 with CPUs older than 2011, but has been already solved in 4RC2:
