Bolos wrote:Is the Denoiser available with the picture viewer render ?
I enabled and it's great in the live viewer but when I render to picture viewer it doesn't show up.
I also tried to enable it with a camera tag but it doesn't work either.
If someone could tell me what I should do to have it in my final render it'd be nice.
Thanks.
1-enable denoiser from settings or cameratag's imager(enable imager+denoiser).
2-Enable save octane passes and select "denoised remainder". Use tonemapped render buffer for passes.
3-Be sure "denoising device" selected in settings/devices.
I am still can not use it! Cinema 17, 18, 19 crushes, when i start it with this plugin in the c4d plugin folder. I already post my bug report here, and haven't got no answer.
It seems to me the denoiser burned one of my video cards. I tested the settings and put the denoiser on only one video card, the others used for tonemapping. For some time, the render was not bad, but then the system hung, after which it was time for the blue screen. After the reboot, it turned out that the video card that was used for the denoiser was burnt.

holy shit! real?
than i have to be patient with my 2 cards...
i have shut downs everytime i check "denoise"...

2 Issues to Cinema 4D/Octane 4 XB3: one "Wish" and one "Take-care"
1. Easy access to Denoiser in Cinema 4Ds Picture Render?
Denoiser in Live Viewer works fine and fast! Shortening render time will result in less power consumption! Great!
BUT: Could you please make the "denoiser" option easy accessable as an clickable option for picture viewer rendering in Cinema 4d (without the render passes workaround? Off course the render pass workarond is made for Pros (and may still remain), but the denoiser option is such amazing good, that I'd love to have this as an standard setting, with a finished (postimage processed) rendered movie/image sequence as a "one click result". Is this possible?
2. Curious Hardware System Crashes:
I started by mistake the O4 network rendering with C4D PIcture viewer (I Know now, that it wont function, Network render is disabled in this version, although the option shows up and network rendering is enabled and master "sees" the slaves). Anyway: I tried to render a simple scene via Picture Viewer Batch. Thereafter the complete Mastersystem crashes. Black screen, nor power on anymore. after resetting / removal of all cards from mainboard, it worked again. Fortunately no hardware damage 'til now.
CONFIGURATION: Two MACs as testrun/network, EACH: MAC Pro 5,1; 2 x 3,46 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon, 64GB Ram, 2x ENVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11263 MB, OSX Sierra 12.5, newest WEB/Cuda driver, C4D R19.053,). Seems that O4 is very intense to GPU hardware. Wont blame you, its a beta and as pronounced by Otoy, without supported network rendering at this stage. But please check, just for sure, because other user reported same issues.
Thanks a lot, great tool, exciteted about the final stable 4.x version.
kind regards! keep on!

additionally to post above: Hardware Crash occurs on a single system, without network rendering, when enabling "use all GPUS" in c4d picture viewer render option-Live Viewer single frame works fine, using both GTX1080.

Did you read install notes? This is from you bugreport, i don't see anythings there about octane.dll.
