Hello,

I moved a file I was working on from my desktop machine to my laptop. Suddenly the HDR that is applied to the scene is dark and contrasty.

I opened a new file and applied the HDR to a new HDR environment and it works fine.

I even deleted every object and material from the other scene so there was nothing in it and created a new HDR environment. The HDR still looks dark and contrasty, but not in the new file where it looks fine.

I can't understand it since there is nothing in the file.

Does anyone know what is going on here?

Thank you!

Joe.

Hi,

The gamma of the HDR is 1. Isn't that what it is supposed to be? I thought all HDRs are supposed to have a gamma of 1.

Thanks.

Yes mostly. Be sure there's no any user mistake in your case.
