hmm are those white artefacts a glitch or bug? or has to do with settings ?
I see many ppl get them, can easily be cloned off for stills , but death for animations. =)

The fireflies are there for the simple fact that MLT hadn't been implemented prior to the current release ... they should be gone in the next version.

Those are "fireflies" and they are here because there's no Metropolis Light Transport in Octane yet

You can use google to read more about Metropolis Light Transport but its kinda advanced thing
The math is simple, without MLT you get fireflies, with MTL you don't get fireflies

MLT doesn't eliminate the noise due to the samples but it help a lot :D

Hi,

I'm working on the MLT implementation.
The new release I just posted in the General Discussion forum does'nt have it yet,
as it's not finished yet, i've still a few days more work on it, i'm about halfway done with it.
It will be in the next official demo release, coming in a few days to a week.

For a minute I thought those were dead pixels on my monitor :lol:
