I use Keyshot for work (electronic and mechanical product presentation)
And OctaneRender as hobby.
As said Paride, you need Nvidia GPU to render, but you can acheive realistic render (path tracing / PMC).
For keyshot, I can render with my surface pro, and I like the easy use, can also import updated geometry from Catia and ready to render, no need to reassign material.
They have different approach...and needs.
