Random color not working with curve modifier

D. Nvidia driver version (i.e. 7.50, 7.5.22)
E. OctaneRender Standalone version, if installed (i.e. 2.24.2, 2.23, etc.)
F. OctaneRender plugin version (i.e. v2.25 - 2.21)
G. Host application version, including build number if available (i.e. 3ds Max 2016 Build 18.0)

I have instances of an object placed in a line, all have "Curve modifier" to place them in an exact order. I want to give random color offset, but it works only without this modifier. Please fix it :(

Hi nvision,

We will bring some new changes about scatters and instance ids in the next major version.
I've built a scene based on your screenshots and it seems fine in our current internal development version.
To be doubly sure, could you please upload a demo scene so that we can check it twice?

Hi nvision,

We find that curve modifier will break instances by deformation. For now, the random texture only works with instances. That is the problem.
Please use Dupliframes as workarounds.
