HI Paul,

Just reporting a bug, when you use the material picker on a shift camera it samples the non shifted image. So you have to click around and guess where the non shifted image would be to pick the material.

Thanks

Hmmm....after some investigation it might not be the shift lens, but my material picker is still offset. Also probably related -- but the bottom of my image doesn't show in the octane render window but when I export an EXR it's there. The bottom of the image is also visible in the modo viewport, obviously.... Hmmm time to restart modo. Ok still having the issue after a restart. Perspective correction is off, so it's not that.

I have previously been using shift cameras in my scene, but the camera I'm using now doesn't have shift.
So basically my Octane render viewport is cropping the bottom of my composition of, but not during export, this is also offsetting the material picker. I'm stumped maybe it's not a bug and im just doing something wrong. I can work round it but maybe worth looking into.

See the red line in the image below.

Hi

What OS, Modo and Modo plugin versions are you using pls?

On the Exported OR Image, did you add the red line, or the plugin?

HI Paul,

Yes I added the red line just to show where the viewport was cropping.

The render region picker is also offset.

Windows 10

OctaneRender 3.08 (3080015)

Modo 10.2.v1 126693

Thanks

Edit...I think the issue seemed to go away after adding in a new camera to the scene and rendering through it, then when I switched back to the original camera (that had the issues) the issues are gone. But it did seem that some information about shift cameras is maybe being retained, even when shift values have been deleted.

Thanks. Could be a corrupted Modo scene. If it happens on another scene, pls let me know.
