Hey guys
I am posting here in hopes someone will be able to help me. I was using build 3.08 with C4D yesterday and all was good, and this morning after some Windows Update (which I have now uninstalled) displacement does not work properly, meaning all polygons explode or tear apart and do not stay connected. I even tried Octane 4 and I have the same issue. Weirdly, when I run 3.07, I do not have this issue. Attached is a picture of what happens. I have rolled back a variety of drivers and uninstalled the Windows Updates to no avail. I have also messed with the phong tag. Any help would be appreciated, as I have no clue how to fix this issue.
Thank you!

You may have already done this: Clear memory by closing C4D and rebooting.

Solved: Not sure why this was not an issue previously, but in short, with 3.08 and after, there is a new setting within displacement under level of detail in Octane. Make sure it is set to "Follow Smoothed Normal" to fix this issue.
