xb2 denoise question

i have the denoise on in the imager options. i tried many settings but it does not seem to be that denoiser is kicking in.

in clarisse i can see optix working after each pass but not in octane.
what am i doing wrong?

apparently i have to have the DeMain in LV on, doesnt seem to be showing up in render view. prolly user error, i will report back.

nope. i have rendered with denoise on and off, pathtracing mode, cant see any difference at 3000 samples max.

i´d appreciate any info to this, cheers
