May be a setting or this may be something that has been in 2015 and 2018 now for a while, I'm coming from 11.6.3 and 3.07 I think it was.

It seems alot of things don't AUTO UPDATE in IPR now. I have to press REDRAW or RELOAD. Ie...if I change the HDR image for an environment....sometimes lights and such don't update.

It could be related to the amount of samples that have been reached? Is there a way to have IPR update no matter where it's at in it's calculations, like it was way back when :) ?

yeah, I get that a lot, it's not like it doesn't update at all it is more like it doesn't pick up what you're doing 15% of the time.

Yea I never had that on 11.6.3...but now I'm getting it quite a bit it seems. Then I'll try and replicate it and it works! If I knew what it was, thinking it doesn't update after it reaches a certain sample amount or something...

I will sometimes keep IPR up and running for a while, while I'm tweaking things. Jump from one surface to the next...sometimes needing a min to hook up nodes...then it's not updating it seems...

Maybe Juan can jump in and tell us something...

Hi,

I've been trying to reproduce this problem here, but without luck so far. I think that I had asked this before in another topic, but to be sure, are you sure that this problem also happens in LW2015? I ask because could help a lot to know if the problem is related to the new LW2018 SDK, or if it is a problem on the Octane 3.08 plugin side affecting both LW2015 and LW2018.

Thanks,
-Juanjo
