I make a sculpt in Cinema 4D with 5 levels of subdivision. I bake out a displacement map. It renders correctly in the C4D Standard renderer, but when I try to use it with the Octane plugin and materials it doesn't. It gives details in some areas, and block artifacts and lines in others. This didn't use to happen in earlier versions of Octane (I'm using the latest version of 3.08).

I've tried baking out the maps in many different ways and file types. I've also tried numerous settings for the displacement node, as well as using a bake node for the texture.

Any suggestions?

If anyone has a workflow from how exactly to bake out the displacement map in C4D Sculpt, to bringing it into Octane and any related settings that are needed, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hi,
3.08 has new options for displacement, do you mind to share the scene with me via PM?
ciao Beppe
