Hey guys!

I've run into a pretty strange situtation with Octane's latest build (3.08 RC4), and I was wondering if anybody has had anything similar happened before.

I'm trying to render out a sequence with a deformed mesh (everything baked out, since I though maybe the deformers may have been causing an issue), and the sequence increases its render time massively in some middle frames (which doesn't actually change that much to justify any increase in render time), and suddenly it stops rendering in the middle of the sequence. It's supposed to last 50 frames, but it stops rendering in frame 26. It doesn't crash, it just stops, as if it was done.

Both project and render frame rates matches, and the frame range is set to the entire 50 frames
Plus, the last two frames are saved out with octane's info down at the bottom, as if they weren't actually finished (like the image I've attached below).

Has anybody run into something similar before?

Thanks a lot in advanced.

Cheers!
Alex

Hi,
difficult to say without the scene.
What about system RAM while rendering the sequence?

Hi!

The system RAM never overpasses 30% while rendering (according to windows monitor). Both my GPUs get stuck with a 100% GPU load however, according to GPU-Z sensors, during the last two frames where the frame time goes from 9 seconds to 3 minutes, and then stops.

Crucial part of information I left out: I gave the same scene to a friend yesterday to check out, and he could render it out with no problem.

Render speed is very low at crash time. See marked area.

Any updates on this? I am having very similar problems. Been trying to render this scene for days now and it always stops around frame 47 (out of 135)
Wondering whether it might be a buggy graphic card or just Octane which is bugging out...

What kind of updates?
You should be aware of possible crashes and log outputs in Console or Octane Log Windows. Also be away to use C4D shaders.
