Outlines post process

Hello,
For the purposes of creating NPR architectural line drawings, I'd like an image layer containing nice clean lines around objects on a transparent background.
Perhaps a bit similar to that described here: http://blendernpr.org/edge-node-v1-2-4-july-2015/
Guessing, it would be a post-process rather than a simple image pass.

Also, a renderer I used to like to use, called AIR, was good at outlines for illustration.
