Does anyone have an updated more accurate version of a stainless steel texture they are willing to share. I am messing around the the aniostropic settings with the new metal shader but not super happy with my results. Wondering if someone could save me the time and share their findings with it?
If not, thats fine I understand, but think its worth asking at least.
Thanks!

What kind of effect are you after? Something like the cube in the 3.08 features post?
Hey thanks for the reply. Something more like this https://www.google.com/search?q=washer+ ... YUriMLzuM:

Yes, I think that's the typical “brushed metal” look.
The material on the cube has two things:
The material on the cube has two things:
- An anisotropic metallic or glossy material
- A weak bump map, following the anisotropic direction. You could use a noise texture which is stretched horizontally. With just the anisotropic roughness the material will look too uniform.

Hi,
The above technique gives the best results so far.
I tried gradients, noises, diffuse etc - the above is the best (and pretty straight forward).
