I've been rendering elements for a job for two weeks with Octane 3.07. The other day I installed 3.08 RC3 and I'm re-rendering part of the job. I'm getting bad fireflies in shadow areas that weren't there with 3.07. Is there a setting I need to change to fix these in 3.08 RC? Getting the fireflies even with 24000 samples, many more than I was using in 3.07.
Need help quickly, got a deadline! Could just re-install 3.07, but keen to know if there is a fix.

I've been having fireflies in some cases too: some shaders will produce more fireflies as you toggle the brdf models (octane, beckmann, ggx and ward)
I had a glass that produced a lot of fireflies and noise in ggx, After changing to Octane it cleaned as usual.
Cheers,

Hi,
there was an issue in RC3 SDK, and should be already fixed in the upcoming RC4.
ciao Beppe
