I have a Mac with 2 x 980ti
Getting an error with Octane which says I'm using 273MB of VRAM, but only 208MB is free out of 6GB. I'm not using anything other than c4d.
Was rendering with Redshift earlier - could that have locked up the vram?
Have restarted but get same error.
How do I get my vram back?
render error not enough free vram

Not sure if this will help, but I just realised having any redshift material open in any C4D file will take up a huge amount of VRAM. Even if you're using Octane. I restarted C4D, making sure no redshift stuff was loading by default, and the VRAM was available again.
THIS, ladies and gentlemen, was a life safer.
Thank you!
