Questions about a new render rig

Hi all,

At the moment i have the following setup for rendering

Gigabyte X99-UD4 Mother board
1000watt PSU
intel 5820K 3.30Ghz CPU - Water cooled
32GB Ram

2xTitan X (Maxwell)
1x GTX 1060 6GB
1 GTX 1050


So this runs well but was costly when i built it and dont really want to just clone what i have i am also limited to only 4 GPUs per case.

My question is i am looking to setup a render node just for network rendering do i need top specs on everything or just the cards?

Im looking to build a rig like this (Well i want to use the mine case at least allow me more GPUs per rig)

Everything on there is low spec i plan to get some GTX 1080TI's but need to know if i really need 32GB of ram and a high end CPU just for network rendering.

This has always been an interesting topic for us octane users and how to scale up while balancing costs.
