This problem can be related to this one, that sounds to me like a Octane core bug:
viewtopic.php?f=36&t=65713

Any scene to reproduce the problem could help a lot.

Thanks,
-Juanjo

mh...i have here a scene with many opacity maps for the leaves...it works...scrubb to ca. 3 min...

Juanjo, the only problem is a tree model I have in the scene, three surfaces, single uv map, one surface for tree bark, two surfaces for leaves. In 2015 renders perfect:

In 2018 leaves are not visible.

LW 2018 IPR is not reacting to the mesh changes made in modeler after I return to Layout or I use synchronize layout command.

That was a very useful feature of 2015 version since I could make modifications to the mesh without reloading the scene or that object in IPR.

Juanjo, problem, solved thank to Rene. Incorrect application of UV node. Not a bug.

Hey Juanjo, I'm having a problem with the IPR on LW2018, I have a scene that uses the raycast node, when I hit F9 it renders fine, but if I open the IPR, the software stops responding. I tried removing the rayacst nodes and even the objects I used wit the nodes, it doesn't fix it. I,ve attached the project files. If you have the time, take a look at it. I just moved back to 2015 and it works fine.

Thanks,

Jacky

Hi,

Yes, I can reproduce this problem here. I'll investigate it as soon as possible.

Thanks,

LW/Octane is tracking image file updates now. Whenever I re save some texture in PS and go back to LW, Octane reloads the whole scene. Is there a way to enable/disable this. This is not good for huge scenes where reloads take a lot of time.

Even worse, when you press F9 or F10 to render too quick (images are still being reloaded) Lightwave crashes.
Would be nice to be able to set this behaviour manually.

If IPR is activated before plugin is enabled I get a crash.

Sorry Boris, what are the steps to reproduce this problem? Here I get the message related to activate the plugin before enabling the IPR, like always.

Thanks,
-Juanjo
