Hi,

with my aktual render project I have the problem, that my slave (7 gpus, titan z, 1080ti and 4 x 780 on a cluster (6Gb each)
is crashing every few minutes and therefore the rendering hangs and never finishes the frame.
(I already reported the problem with the endless rendering on one frame, if one slave crashes)

2 weeks before, I got the windows creator update (which was updated automaticly)
working with all 7 GPUs with the nvidia driver 9065.

The slave reports the following errors:

"failed to copy memory to device"
"the launch timed out and was terminated"
"failed to upload data texture 4 of content 0"

What does the mean please?

regards
Mike

Ho Mike,
are you able to export the scene to Standalone, and render with the Slave machine alone, with Standalone?

Hi Beppe,

no I can't.
Never touched the standalone version.
I will try to render the C4D-Project only on that mashine and see
what happens.

Btw. my 2. slave ( 2 x 980Ti) is rendering fine.
Both slaves are on Win 10 64 Pro 1709 latest build.
The 2 x980ti have .8813 drivers and the crashing slave has .9065

As said, after automatic Win update, the .9065 driver was the only one,
to get all 7 cards installed and running.

Hi Mike,
My personal advice is:
1 block windows 10 automatic update
2 Unistall Nvidia drivers using Download Display Driver Uninstaller DDU
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/dis ... nload.html
3 Install Nvidia 391.01 WHQL from Nvidia's website
I'm not sure this will solve your issue, but it could.
Said that, Windows 10 has issue with multi GPUs, looking on the internet: "windows 10 multi GPUs issues", you will find confirmation about this.
My advice is Windows 7 definitely rock solid.

Hi Paride,

my main mashine is on win 7, but all the slaves are on win 10.

I did all steps to block automatic updates, but that creator update I could not prevent.
After a windows reset I got all GPUs running with 9065.

I now copied the project folder to the slave.
and testing to render the project in C4D only on that slave-mashine.

Will see....

no chance!

Tried the newest nvidia driver and also the 382.33.
With both drivers after 2 or 3 frames in Cinema I get a bluescreen.

My other slave with the 2 x 980Ti and also Win 10 Creatorsupdate renders without any problems.
Btw. thats my oldest mashine with a i7 2600K and 16Gig Ram on a old P8P67 Board.

Strange!

Mike
